Do you all usually copy multi size patterns or do you cut the size you need straight out? If you copy them, what paper do you use?

I copy, using white plastic "glad" garbage bags. Just so you know there is a topic on this subject under the "Garment Construction "heading. You might want to check over there as there is alot of info on what different people use for tracing. Hope this helps you out.

I copy using white tissue paper (for a small pattern) and regular wraping paper on a roll for anything bigger.

Meat wrapping paper is good too and comes in a big roll.

also the kind schools use to cover bulletin boards (you might be able to just bump a piece off the school, some they are taking down anyway I think they just toss it, might see if they'd save you some)

I also use garbage bags. The kind that I have are clear, which makes it a lot easier. The are very strong and reliable. They are not sold in stores, however. I got them from American Blind Products, which is a company that employs the blind and they sell various items. I bought them just to help out but they are very good, so I ended up buying them again!

Selene,
Clotilde.com sells pattern paper for $6.48 plus shipping for a 21"x77yd roll. Another good product is DoSew which sells for about $5 for a 36"x5yd roll. I have had great results using both. The pattern paper has lasted me over 3 years and I haven't even used 1/2 of the roll. Happy Stitching! Marty

I copied a top out from a Kwik Sew Master pattern yesterday... I used DoSew... I bought a special pen to to copy it with and it didn't work ...so I just used a regular pen which worked okay...I still prefer to use the heavy plastic my mom use to use to cover her table cloth... Magic marker work's great to trace out to. Much faster :bluesmile .
