I have just sold my house in Liverpool(ex marital home) . There was no chain involved, I was offered £5,000 more than the asking price - great, I thought! The house is worth double what we paid for it, so I am coming out of this very well. This deal has dragged on and on for one reason and another but we were due to complete yesterday. I was planning on how to spend my money and guess what? The place that deals with the electronic transfer of the money burnt down yesterday and the solicitors don't know where the money is ( floating somewhere in cyberspace!!) My solicitor is going to try and find out what's going on, as this has never happened before. It could only happen to me!!

Oh, what rotten luck. I am sure things will turn around for you. Stay positive and don't despair.

Yikes. My husband's nightmare came thru to you. He hates all the electronic banking I do. I call him an old fuddy-duddy and to get with the times. I'm not telling him about your woes.
Good luck. Hang in there. It has to be somewhere.

They found it!!( How do you find something in cyberspace, I mean, where would you start looking?!!) Guess what I'm going to do today - shop till I drop.

Bren, will all this shopping count as exercise?............

I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason ... no matter what.

Yes, I would think a full day of shopping is considered exercise. Lots of walking not to mention arms and shoulders exercise when taking those clothes off to try on all that beautiful stuff. Lucky lady! HAVE FUN :bluewink:
