While in Ottawa I found the Richard Robinson Academy of Fashion Design. It is on Sussex Drive in downtown Ottawa. Here they teach sewing but take it to a higher standard apparently. The courses cover an introduction to sewing, professional sewing, pattern making, computerized pattern making, draping on a mannequin, fashion sketching, textile study, costume history, making of lingerie, men's tailoring, hat making, marketing, fashion design and couture. I was so excited to find out there was such an organization in Canada. I sent away for the flyer hoping for an online or correspondence by mail course but no. ![]() You must attend in person. Too far for me, but for any of you in Ontario this is a real chance to learn from the ground up from professionals. www.RichardRobinson.com MaryW

Too far for me too Mary. It's too bad that every community doesn't offer a sewing school or fashion academy. Oh well ... Happy Stitching! Marty It takes one moment to change a life.
