does anyone know where I can find plastic snaps (and the tool to apply them)? I would prefer open-ring but don't mind the regular button-like snaps. I also don't mind buying online. Help, anyone? see the mundane life of a housewife.

Are you talking about putting them in the legs of children's pants, or on shirts or where. I use the gripper tape on things like children's clothing, shoulders and legs. You can purchase that at Hancocks or Joanne's or just about any major fabric center in plastic or metal. (They are often used in clothing for the disabled too.)

gripper tape.. what is gripper tape? my mind is drawing a blank. i had my baby 6 days ago and have new momma brain! i am using the snaps for cloth diaper covers and possibly cloth menstrual pads (from the post on this forum, an inspiration). i want them to be plastic because they will soak in water for a day or two before laundry day. see the mundane life of a housewife.

But I purchased them from gladrags, and don't know what metal they are made of. I don't know if you found this link yet; but here are snaps and supplies online: http://diapershop.com/notions.htm Heather

Gripper tape is a wide twill type tape that has snaps already on it. You buy it by the yard and it comes on round spools somewhat like ribbon. You can find it at any major fabric supply...and believe me, it is sooooo much easier than using the tools to apply gripper snaps to kids' clothing. You just sew one side to the bottom seam allowance of your clothing and the other side to the top portion of the seam allowance using your zipper foot. The snaps are already spaced for you too. It comes in both metal and plastic and sounds probably ideal for the application you are needing.

Birth stats: Nels David Hogaboom (a boy!) born at home, a wonderful water birth 1:20 AM April 7, 2004 8 pounds 7 ounces 21 inches long You can read our birth story (http://kelly.hogaboom.org/birthstory.html) online on our website (http://hogaboom.org) -- but don't worry, there are no graphic pictures. Thanks for the link sewnew2, it looks like they have everything I need. paroper, I have used gripper tape before... didn't realize they made it with plastic snaps! It may work well for me and I agree, it seems easier than using a snap tool. see the mundane life of a housewife.

The picture was taken March 30th, same day I registered. I should post another, since I have lost 25 pounds since and dyed my hair very red!

I meant to ask, I think I know the answer but, were you pregnant when you had that picture taken. Everyone lets take a vote, all that think she was pregnant when the picture was taken, forget your BC pills in the morning and all that think she was not pregnant then, be certain to take them. Cliff |
