What is it you are trying to make? What is the first step in the instructions?

Have you had any instructions in sewing before? Do you have a basic sewing instruction book? What type of pattern is it? If it made by McCall's, Butterick, Simplicity or Vogue one should be able to call the pattern company's help desk for further clarification. Even most independent designers are willing to help. Making a garment is a series of construction tasks. One must have some basic knowledge before attempting a project. I would suggest enrollment in a sewing class or investment in a good sewing primer. One of my favorites is by Nancy Zieman "Essential Guide to Sewing". It can be found at most public libraries. Hope this helps. Happy Stitching! Marty It takes one moment to change a life.
