Hi,

I am looking for a pattern for a slipcover for a director's chair, the wooden folding ones with canvas seat and back.

Can anyone help?

Jennih. Do you have the covers that were on the chairs ? If so then that's your pattern. You don't have to sew anything when on the chair like it sometimes looks like was done. The top ( or back ) just slips over onto each end. The seat fits into the turn down portion when it's folded. Look to see how that was connected. It's hard for me to explain writing about it. They are so simple to make. Hopefully you can find a pattern & it will just click in your mind.Good luck. I sold mine years ago & regret it. Am looking for another good set for the lanai.

I am actually looking for a slipcover that goes over the whole chair, not the back and seat as they stay there and the cover goes over the top so you can't see the chair.

Hi Jennih: All of the big 4 pattern companies have chair covers in their home dec sections. I don't know that the patterns are specifically for a director's chair, but I'm sure one of the patterns could be adapted.
