I am working on a satin tank top. The neckline facing is made by understitching and then stitching the folded edge, if that makes sense. When I stitched it I stitched to close to the edge and I am not happy with it. If I tear it out I am afraid of needle marks on the white satin. Would it hurt anything or look awful if I did another row of stitching or should I just leave it? When I put it on it lays fine but I know that stitching around the neck should be lower now and I did it right when I just did the first armhole.
Input?
Thanks,
Jolene

Add a decrative stitch. stitch is slowly not to make the stitches break. I know if I stitch at full speed with my decrative the thread breaks. make it tone on tone and it will add decoration as well as function. Then you can add another straigh stitch on the arm holes to tie together.

Remeber there are no mistakes in sewing just new creations.

I second the idea of using a decorative stitch. Add poly-rayon thread for almost an embroidered look. Happy Stitching!

Hello Jolene,

Mayby you can sew a white satin bias band around it. You can stitch lower and you will not see the misplaced thread.
With kind regards,
François
