Ok girls, I need your help. I know I can count on all of you for a truthful answer.

What is your opinion of the advertisements I sometimes run in our newsletter? Sometimes it is for a site that sells things, offers a deal or needs some exposure.

If you remember any of the links in past newsletters, do you remember who they were. You can mention them.

Do you click on the links for these sites?
Have you ever found any of them to be offensive or not what you thought?
Have you ever found the links to be helpful and a site you had not known of before?

Please be truthful, I need your honest opinion. Thanks.

I get the weekly newsletter and the ads have never been a problem for me. If they look interesting I go take a look. Your ads have never been intrusive or offensive, in my opinon. I hardly even notice them. Just don't send ads for "hot young chicks" and we'll get along just fine.

ROFL! :bg:

Most of the time I don't even notice the ads...I've gotten fairly conditioned at ignoring them. I rarely click anything unless something of interest pops out. Sure haven't noticed any hot young chicks though, thank goodness! :bg:

Same here, I routinely, unconsciously ignore ads. They very rarely make it to my awareness, at which time I just might click on something but this is very unusual.

If I am going to check out a site it will be on someone else's recommendation, not because of an ad. Sshhh don't tell or you'll lose your revenue.

No, I want to be able to give an honest response to their questions when they ask about advertising.

So, I can tell them that if something sparks your interest, you will click on it. What appeals to you in an ad? Is it a few words on a particular subject or a longer more informational blurb?

For me, it seems to be coincidence...I click mostly if it's something that I've been looking for information about. I think the last time I clicked on something, it had to do with drapery patterns...well guess who is re-covering ALL her downstairs windows?? Just waiting on my ten yards from www.fabric.com...

I routinely read everything that's printed in the newsletter, and sometimes I click on sites that I think I may be interested in or that mention something I've heard or seen mentioned elsewhere, so I decide to check it out, and that reminds me of something else and I check that out, too, etc. etc. So I think they are useful, because they don't leap out at you or beat you over the head like some ads I deliberately ignore in other places. marilynntx
Life is a song...we give it harmony or dissonance.
