What kind of pencils can I use on my fabric to mark with that will come out when i wash it? One of my blouses I just made, one of the marks didn't come out. It is in a place that I am probably the only one who noticed it but I really would like one that washes out. Thanks

I dont use a pencil I use a chalk wheel from clover..

This is what I use. You can find it in the quilting area

It has a little wheel at the point so you dont distort the fabric as you are marking. I use a lot of knits and spandex so it is really good.
The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!

Those little gadgets are called Chocoliners and can be purchased with several different colors of chalk in them (white, yellow and I think bllue). You can also buy the little refills for them. I have one and it isprobably the handiest thing in my sewing room, especially for garment sewing.

If you used a lead pencil, add a little Dawn dishwasher detergent to a soft white washcloth and wipe the area to loosen the lead. Let dry. Then diluting a bit of hydrogen peroxide (1 part) with water (4 parts) dab the area with a q-tip. This should take out the remaining marks without damaging the fabric.. Wash and dry the fabric as usual. Also, you may want to check an online search engine for stain removals. I've tried this method on stains in my DH's dress shirts as he is always getting pencil marks and ink on the pockets. It takes it out 90% of the time. Happy Stitching!
