Haven't been to the site in several mos.,hope to become more active .Moved Apr. 24 & am trying to find room for all my "stuff", the furniture isn't a problem but the stuff includes several tote boxes of fabric &wool is giving me headaches. My apt. is quite teenie but my carpenter daughter installed wire shelving units which when organized will be great.Someone suggested that I think of it as a yacht (a place for everything & everything in it's place.
Glad to be back

I'm back also. My computer has been down for a week & I couldn't get on. My piece of advice is never preform a non destuctive system recovory. unless you have a back up disk (instructions said not needed) & someone who knows how to fix it.

Sure hope Ican stay put ,have moved twice in the last yr.& it's a very traumic experienceI
It's nice to meet someone else who had a big family ,I had5 & 3 step children (but they were raised when my husband & I got married) I have 9 grandchildren & you're right ,happiness is having time to sew.Set my sewing machines up yesterday so hopefully I can get back to it soon. Think I'm going to have to take Nancy Zeiman's advice & sew in 15 min. segments.

It is always nice to meet someone else who knows what it is like raising more than 2 or 3 kids. Until you have actually done it you can't know. We have 6 plus I have 2 DGS. with DDh & the 2 BF when we get together for a family meal it is13. I am learning to cook smaller portions though because during the school year it is usually just 5 of us know & the kids get tired of leftovers.
I came from a fammily of 9 kids & DH came from 13 so holiday family gatherings get quite large. 65-75 at all events. weddings & graduations are interesting when everyone comes at once. That makes about 125 guests just with family.
I hope to sew today once I get a care PKG. sent to DD in Australia. she isn't enjoying the food much. says the flavors are so much different than home. she needs her favorite cereal & boxed mac & cheese.

I know what you mean about cooking for less people,it took me yrs. after everyone left home to stop cooking for so many ple.(lots of leftovers.)
I'm alone now my 2nd husband died July 1st 2002. sure is hard to cook for 1.
Wow what an awesome family , the most we ever have is about 30 & when that happens we usually have pot luck.
I have committed myself to a walkingprogram , I'm trying to walk 1/2 hr. every day, this past winter was so cold that Istayed in the house & as a result packed on some wgt. so must go &get my work-out done .
Have a great day .
