Hi all,

I was wondering what you do to make roman blinds if the window is wider than the width of the fabric as it only comes in standard lengths. Do you have to join two pieces of fabric together to get the width?

Thanks

It might be possible to lay your fabric horizontally if it doesn't stretch or sag, or if you stabilize it with a backing. A seam down the center doesn't look very good, but a wide center panel with two side panels looks nice, especially if you make it a deliberate design with complementary fabrics. You can also use a trim to cover the seams.
