I am working on a new pattern and their are 2 pieces that are also designated as bodice lining. On the pattern it just states for the lining- cotton or cotton blends. Can I use the same material I am making the dress out of for the bodice lining? or do I need something else? Thanks

Heather, I usually use a lighter weight fabric for the lining so the garment is not too bulky or hot. I would use the recommended fabric as that is what the designer intended for the garment.
Happy Stitching!

My material is peach cotton, so I need to get a light weight white fabric. Would that work? I am clueless.

If your fabric is cotton already, then I would suggest using a peach colored or beige broadcloth (cotton blend). Just be sure to pre-wash and dry the fabric before cutting. Broadcloth is a lighter weight than 100% cotton and should be cooler in the summer months. Happy Stitching!
