Does any one have a pattern or directions for making a scissor cover? Thanks.

I think Simplicity has a pattern in their accessories section, and I've also recently seen some at Hobby Lobby for small embroidery scissors. (Unfortunately neither of those are free).

Mayber try tracing your scissors and then adding 1" (1/4" for ease and 3/4" for seam) to make a pattern?

Quilt Central just featured those on the last show. They cut a large circle after quilting together (they did some in a large stipple, some straight lines, some with a design) the three standard layers, top, batting and bottom, put seam binding on cut edge. folded two ends together and attached ties. They also suggested you put glue on the bottom to stop the tip of scissors from sticking thru. Haven't tried it myself but it sure looked easy.

I made mine by tracing the sissors and put a piece of leather in the bottom where the tip of the sissors goes to stop them poking through. It has been great and it has lasted for quite a few years.

I seen a pot holder sewn into a scissor holder ... Keep the hanger at the top and fold in the opposite sides and sew ... easy as pie.

I have a cute one. It is a good bazaar item.. you can make 2 out of 2 felt 'rectangles' (not square).. It looks like an old fashioned high button shoe like our great grandmothers wore.. Has a cute 4 line poem that goes with it..Send me a pm with your e-mail address and I will try to make a pattern that will scan and send it to you.. it just takes the 2 pieces of felt and 3 buttons for each one.. The buttons are for decoration only, but they make it look so good..I usually hide a bit of reinforcement in the bottom where the point goes also..

That would make a great item for the craft board and then we would all have the pattern- hint, hint!!
