What can I do to keep the elastic waistband from twisting? It is fine when I make them and then the whole waistband twist when we wear it. It happens with my stuff, GD and D'ers. I am sure there is something simple that takes care of that problem. Thanks Jolene

You can 'stitch in the ditch' at each seam on the waistband. Generally, this is done on the side seams and the back if there is one. You stitch vertically in the 'ditch' left by the seam from the right side through all layers. |

(The ditch is the place where the seams meet.)

Have you ever tried no-roll elastic? It's stiff and resists rolling up.

The non roll keeps the waistband nice and neat. It is a little stiffer and gives a more rigid support.

Make your waistband the right size for your elastic also helps.. In other words, don't make a waistband that is one and one half inches wide and put one inch wide elastic in it.. The elastic has too much room to roll, twist and turn..

The elastic will also roll if it is too short.
