Hi all,

I am looking to purchase a tracing wheel and paper to transfer my patterns to fabric for cutting.

I noticed that one wheel is serrated, with very sharp points, the other wheel is "blunt" pointed.

I will be sewing mainly with fashion fabrics, woven and knit for basic clothing.

Which wheel should I purchase?

Thank you for your help!

For me, it depends on the fabric I'm marking. Thin, delicate fabrics get the plain edge while denims get the serrated edges.

Thank you! I knew there had to be a reason somewhere : -)

I usually just use the smooh one...it doesn't tear up the pattern as bad and it makes a very smooth clear line to follow. I, on the other hand like the serated wheel when the fabric is see-though because the line is not as likely to show through the fabric.
