Well I've had one CRAZY month.... My sister and her husband are hosting my son's graduation party so I have been busy helping to paint the inside. I have so many different colors in my hair I think I've started a new fashion trend!!!! Then last week we had a flash flood in our neighborhood and our basement flooded and our sump pump died!!!!! HD had to go get a new one, our streets our flooded and they had to re-route the annual parade to the ONLY open street on this side of town. Then even after the city closed off the streets, STUPID PEOPLE WERE STILL DRIVING UP AND DOWN OUR STREETS!!!!!! Up at the corner there was a downed power line!!!!! Common sense, there is none anymore!!!!!!! Anyway in the process of replacing the old pump with the new, water was back filling into the basement from the drain line and a little fish ( about 2") got into the basement!!! In all this mess, my son starts cracking jokes about this fish. WE couldn't help but laugh. The next street over people were sitting on their porch watching catfish swim in their front yards !!!!!!!!! Then the week only got worst. On the 20th of May my DD's kitten turned one year old. I had noticed that the cat just wasn't acting like her playful self and had said something to my daughter and her fiance' and suggested that they get her to the vet, They said that they would. Well this past Tuesday I noticed that the cat was just not herself and she just wanted to be held, so I sat and held her and we rocked in the chair and she died in my arms. I cried for three days and DH is just beside himself, he had gotten so attached to her. We are both upset with ourselves and DD for not doing something sooner. My two older cats are going around the house looking for her as they loved to play with her. She taught them how to be playful again. They sense that she is gone. DD and fiance' are sad. Next Saturday June 5th is graduation for DS, so family from out of state will be here. Will get to see Great-niece for the first time, she was born in December. Hope we have good weather and fun time at party!!!!! I'm off to bed now, I've had one h#&& of a week |

Sorry to hear about the little cat, Sewhappy, mind you the rest was impressive but they were just "things"- the cat was family. Perhaps you should start keeping fish, then if the flood hapens again you could take it for a walk in the basement!
love and kisses, Jan
