Although I'm not a big fan of patterns from the "Big 3" I did purchase ta style from Simplicity's new Khaliah Ali line and thought I'd give a report on it.

First off, this pattern was great. It was geared toward plus size women. The finished fit around the shoulders, chest and arms was phenomenal. Usually patterns from the big 3 require extensive adjustments because of the football player shoulders they are drafted with.

These patterns do seem to run a bit small overall however. I used a size larger than I normally wear and still added to the hip area (where I'm actually two sizes smaller than my bust measurement). So, if you do decide to try one, measure first and maybe start with the size larger than you normally wear.

I did a tissue fitting and am glad I did.

Anyway, I just finished the shirt and am going to start on the skirt and/or pants later tonight. I'll send in a picture of the whole get-up sometime.

Happy sewing everyone.
