Anyone wanna chat about their grandkids?

We could have a grandma/nanny/mawmaw chat if you like. One morning a week would be fun, what do you think?

This isn't relevant to a "Nanny Chat" but it reminded me of the license plate holder I saw the other day on the back of a mini van that said: "Nana's my name and spoilin's my game!"

Would this be a braggin chat or a gripping chat? ROFL At the present time I'm washing piles of towels, I know they didn't dirty but are soaking wet from the pool. There little bodies are tiny so I know it didn't take that many towel to dry off when they exited the pool while I was away from the house this evening. So I'm not in "the" mood to brag on my little darlings at the present time. LOL I maybe posting soon asking "How do you tell your Grandchildrens MOther's, girlfriends and Ex's in a meaningful way, to bring their own towels and take them home again when exiting MawMaw's pool. :nah: I think me gripping is a lot more fun don't you think so?..................or I could just order the caskets, and be done with them. :nah: I love'em.......... they just make me so darn mad sometimes...................................Okay I'm done. :bg: I feel much better.

Susie,
Every person is told by my brother (owner of fine backyard pool).. You may swim, but there are 2 rules and no exceptions.. Bring your own towels, and for kids (at the end of your swim you have to drink a cup of pool water) This is a threat only, but the kids don't know it..Keeps the pool water clean, you know !!

One of my brother's in south florida had a sign posted in the pool area: "I don't swim in your toilets so please don't pee in my pool"

I just spent the evening in my pool with all the grandkids, all the ex's kids from post marriage, the ex's sisters kids and I had a ball. When they left they all put their things up, No wet towel this time all over the house and they cleaned all the pool area up after they all got out. I even sliced a ham and fixed sandwiches for all. What a nice day I had. If only they would do this every time. Most of the time they leave in a hurry to get somewhere else or something comes up unexpected and they have to leave on short notice and then I'm here by myself doing it all. :bg: This time was different. This time was a braggin day Mary. LOL

Well, I don't have grandkids, as my dghtr is 8. However, we do have Himalayan kittens now that are 8 weeks and into every darn thing. Use to put stuff up where I knew they couldn't reach, like the table. They now have negotiated quite successfully the floor to chair, chair to table circuit. So, there goes that plan.

My daughter's friend comes over for sleepovers every Friday and the first thing she does when she comes in the doors is drop her clothes, shoes, stuffed build-a-bear toy of the month on the floor. One day I just said, "Brittany, from now on we are going to all do our own share of cleaning up around here because of the kittens. A good scape goat move. So, she was okay with that and we worked out a place to hang things now, like backpacks. At their eye level. When they grow up, the rack can come down in favor of progressing toward hanging things up in a closet. Why can't they understand that? Sheesh!
