I am attemting to make a very basic capped sleeve dress. http://www.elizabethlee.com/patterns/nc302.htm I have the unfortunate body that is a size small for neck and shoulders but is x-large around. I have never made a capped sleeve dress for myself. Should I cut the sleeve length at XL so it lines up with the sides? I think that would make the sleeves to long but I am not sure how else to make it fit. Please help. I only have a week to get this dress done!

Whatever size you cut the armhole is the size you're going to have to cut the sleeve otherwise, you'll have an armhole that is too small for the sleeve to set in or vice versa. I would measure the circumference of your arm and then the pattern itself, to see what size fits you best.

Patsy,

There is no separate sleeve pattern.

Then measure the circumference of your upper arm and compare with the sleeve opening.
