I'm still a relatively new sewer, but I'm finding that I tend to make the same pattern more than once...first, as-designed, and then again...redesigned to actually FIT ME. :whacky: I've learned so many neat tricks for altering patterns, and I think I may be brave enough to try to just design things myself so they're right from the start.

To that end, I'm looking at pattern drafting books to study. Does anyone have any titles to recommend?? So far my wish list consists of:

Patterns from finished clothes : re-creating the clothes you love, by Tracy Doyle
and
Pattern Drafting for Dressmaking, by Pamela Stringer

This is an excellent book which I have found I can't do without.
