Please respond here if you can help, thanks. I found your address and I was wondering if you could help me find a needle. I make 3 ft. raggedy ann dolls and I need some needles to sew the hair on the dolls I make. I am using chunky yarn and I am trying to find a needle that will make my sewing easier. I need a needle that have a wide eye and is big. So if you have any information or advise that will help me. MaryW

You can buy curved tapestry needles and I think you can also buy curved needles for making rugs. through. There are also very long straight needles that are made for this purpose. (Just a hint which you may already know....to put the yarn through the eye of the needle, cut a piece of paper about 2-3 inches long and fold it once and cut it narrow enough to go through the eye of your needle. Wrap your paper around your yarn and put the paper through the needle. The yarn will fold in half and the paper will guide your yarn through the eye.) You might try this site to see if you think these needles would suite your purpose. http://216.97.93.16/malls/joann/clearance/John_James_Curved_Tapestry_Hand_Needles.htm pam

On the dolls that I have made I sewed the yarn on the head section with the sewing machine before I sewed the side seams and stuffed it; really much easier. MariLynntx
