I have a really nice tank top with skinny straps. I was wondering how can I add a shelf bra to it? The tank top was purchased.

Thanks

My DD needed some more support than what her RTW tank tops offered so I purchased a bra insert from Hancock Fabrics and hand stitched it under the lining of the shelf for an invisible look.
I pinned the bra between the shelf liner and the tank top and all of my stitching was on the shelf liner. I had her try it on so it could be properly positioned. You could do the same for yourself by using some tailor's chalk to mark where the bra should go. By doing a whip stitch on the outer edges, the bra was secure and gave her a more flattering look. She loved them. The bra inserts run about $6 and well worth the price. They are in the notions section of the store. Happy Stitching!
