I am making my first lined jacket and I think I just did the sleeve wrong and I am tearing it out after I write this post. The picture looks like a twisted bunch of arms but I am sure it is just because I don't know what I am doing for sure. This is Kwik Sew 2829 view A. I put them inside each other right sides together and sewed them but that doesn't look like the picture now.

Here are the instructions as written:
"To finish bottom edges of sleeves, pin bottom edges of sleeve and contrast fabric sleeve, right sides together, matching sleeve seams and center sleeve seams. Be sure sleeves are not twisted and sleeves for right side are pinned together adn sleeves for left side are pinned together. Stitch bottome edges of sleeves. "

Can someone give me something more that will help me thorugh this?
Thanks, Jolene

OK-- what you should have after following those instructions , are 2 separate sleeves left and right -- and each one should be sewn together at wrist edge... the top of sleeve should be open.. The part that fits into the arms-eye.. That is where you have to turn it to get the right sides on the outside of the sleeves...Now, Isn't that as clear as mud...???:bg: :bg: :bg:
