I have an Olympic Queen sized bed and it is difficult to find sheets to fit. When I do find them they are outrageously expensive! I would like to try making some sheets but I'm not sure what the best kind of fabric to use would be. I know I need it as wide as I can get it, preferrably 110". Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! |

Hancock's carries a line of fabrics that are as wide as this.. I think it is 100 % cotton... Solid colors only, I believe.. I looked at some for a quilt backing so as not to have a seam..

Muslin is often sold that wide. Also there is a line of fabrics called sheeting. I don't know about the thread counts in this fabric though.

www.equilter.com has some wide printed fabric. I don't know what you were looking for as a price per yard. Here's a link to their wide printed backing: http://www.equilter.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_main.html?catid=265&sid=31U9Hz0-f0A9DAT-06104029569.91 I bought a paisley backing for my basketweave quilt. It's very nice, smooth fabric. Jessica photos.yahoo.com/greendragondesigns
