I ask this question in another place but think it might need to be here.

I have made 4 fleece blankets and just turned them under and used different stiches. I do not have a blanket stich on my machine. But I do have a stich called a strech over edge that looks somthing like this /_/_/_/ Would this so the same thing as a blanket stich?

Also how close to the edge do I put my needle for this kind of stich?

I have only been sewing for about 4 or 5 months now. So thanks for all your help all!!

It looks very similar. Try cutting some pieces of fabric and doing a few test runs. You can adjust the length and width of the stitch until you get the effect you want. Try to place the fabric so that the needle falls just outside the edge of the fabric.

Hope this helps.
Take care,
Donna

LOL So that is way my stich only goes to the edge and not over! I have been putting my needle about 1/4 inch in from edge. I will try this.

Thank you so much for your help! I never would have got this rite on my own. I thought you had to start on the fabric. Not beside. Geesh do I feel silly!
