Hello, This is my first post and I hope I am in the right place. I am looking for a free pattern for a dog bed or blanket. I have a few from Buttericks and McCalls, but I am looking for something more unique. Can anyone help? |

Sandee, For my DH'S (girlfriend) I found the cleanest way for me was to make a pillow of the size I wanted, stuff it with foam chips and sew closed the end then I've made a couple of "pillow- cases" of corderoy or twill or heavy cotton and I sew one end with a long zipper so it can be removed easily and washed. The foam stuffed pillow I air in the sun or wash in a tub outside as its big! Shes a yellow Lab so I make big pillows. They are so comfy even my Berman cat loves to pretend hes a dog. |

Thanks NanCee & Chrys. I have tried Google and so far no luck. I used to make dog beds the way you have described, Nancee and I was looking for a bit of a different way this time. More like a Futon or something I could roll up and take along with me. I will keep looking though and again, thanks! |

You can roll up a pillow if you stuff it loosely enough.. Why not do that and attach ties to tie it after you roll it up..?? It sounds like just what you are looking for..
