In keeping with efforts to build a new quilting forum, I thought I would start off with a quilt tip for those who do that lovely applique work. I myself am no pro at this type of quilting (Joanne is the expert) but I do find it very relaxing and beautiful to see.

Here is a tip for everyone.

After finishing your applique, cut away the background fabric and any added layers from behind it. This helps make the quilting easier since there aren't so many layers to quilt thru.

If anyone else has any applique tips, feel free to post them here.
