Am I losing it or do the pattern co.s books differ in Canada & the U.S.A. ? I found pats. I liked on the net sites of the various pattern co.s and took my list to the local fabric shop but found none, then I picked up a pat. I liked and when surfing the sewing sites, saw this same thing with a diff. no. DH says I have been sniffing too much vinegar fumes with all the pickling I have been doing! |

I was hoping I would have an answer. If the no.s are different but the same pat.s, I will have to arrange for more time to look through all the pages to find the ones I was interested in rather than going by the index at the back of the pat. books.....so anyone know for sure? |

Sorry Nancee. Yes, the Big 4 do generally have a lot of the same patterns from season to season but the numbers do change. It's a real pain in the behind if you have a list of patterns that you want and then the seasons change and when you get around to getting the patterns, the numbers no longer exist. That has happened to me a couple of times also. I think if you e-mail whatever Big 4 company that you have the old pattern numbers, they can probably tell you what the new numbers are. Patsy Patsy

Also some times the pattern will be on promo and then they have a different number also. Like the ones they are featuring will have a 0 in the beginning.
The more you disaprove, the more fun I am having!

Thanks Patsy & Aimee, Iwas beginning to think DH was right! Ican see I will have to allow for more time at the pattern books in order to find the ones I want and get this sewing on the road, befor I need a pogo stick to get around my sewing room. |
