On a whim I entered this little wallhanging in our local fall fair.

Was very surprised to find it won a second place ribbon.

Does anyone else have any triumphs to celebrate?

Congratulations Sherri! That is beautiful! Makes me want to go to the beach.

Hmmmm... I won a quilt block contest at my local Walmart last winter. Does that count? :monkey:

OF Course it counts.

I have such a hard time getting up the nerve to enter. My wonderful husband always encourages me. I think anyone who trys has won the biggest battle.

Very nice Sherri, you deserve the recognition. Especially where you live, LOL.
I am sure they all appreciated the atmosphere of your wall hanging.

Hey Sherri

Beautiful wall hanging. Are you keeping it? And where are you going to hang it?

Congratulations on the ribbon. Well deserved.

Hey Tammy haven't spoken to you in forever.

Poul claimed the wallhanging as soon as I finished it. It is hanging in our bedroom along with my Mariners compass that I did in Houston with your help. The blue in the wallhanging is very close to the blue in my walls.

I bought the fabric when we were in Houston to. Remember that Fabric shop way back that Mike and Poul went with us to.

So how are you and How's the plane?

I had some free time on my hands this morning and I wandered back onto this site, so I thought I'd drop in. The plane is coming along. Mike is predicting a January or February first flight. He is about done wiring up the instrument panel and will start body work again. I need to get started on the seats and interior.

Are you still working at home?

Actually I start my new job tommorrow as a part time teachers assitant at the playschool. I am a little nervous which is probably where all this sewing is coming from.

Don't let the little buggars scare you. They can smell fear :)

I bet you have a wonderful time. Think of all the craft projects you can teach them.

Very moody hanging Sherri - I can never manage to do anything that emotional.

Fear not the Small persons. Remember all those Mum phrases:-
" No, we don't put glue in each others ears"
" Food stays on the plate, not the walls"
" Lets all pretend to be flowers in God's Garden, lovely George, what are you? a cauliflower."
" What's the magic word..?" "NOW!"
and " where's the gin?" :bolt:
you'll have fun!
love and kisses, Jan

OH its not the children that are worrying me its the actual working.

Moody? Well I guess it could be moody. I was going for sensual but I guess moody is alright. The fabric definitely adds that quality.
