Someone asks you to make something for them, be they family, friend, or client, because they don't know how to sew and they know you do sew.
They ask for your help with the pattern, style, colors, but when it gets to the fabric, ALL OF A SUDDEN!!!!! They get it in their head that they know that the WRONG material is the RIGHT material!!!! You explain to them that the fabric is not the right one for this project and you steer them to the right ones. NO  , they go right back to the wrong stuff AGAIN!!!
So by this time I say, SURE! OKAY! FINE!, BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTT, I don't want to hear you "B$&@H when it is finished ,when it doesn't look right, hang right, fit right!!!!!

If they don't sew, have no interest in learning, then where did all this knowledge on fabrics come from????? :bang: :monkey: :bang: :nervous:

I guess it is just human nature and one of those little details that need to be straightened out before the project is started.

I had this happen with someone. I had to pin them down to be very specific when I asked what it was they liked about their choice.. ( color, feel, look, etc)... I found out they wanted pink, shiny.. So, then I took her around the fabric shop and showed her appropriate fabric and we found something else she liked.. :whacky:
