I have an old 18" composite doll I am dressing. She is really going to be quite the fashionista soon. I have old silk blouses I got at the charity store that I am cutting up for her. She has silk dresses, I have T shirts and jeans. Anyone else dress dolls, or make dolls. Post and let us know what you are doing. Here is an outrageous site for those who enjoy making something other than the usual. www.epbdolls.com MaryW

Yes, I like to make and dress dolls too. I just finished a fairy doll. I would post picture of it but I can'seem to get that to work here. It says my file is too large. I also make beaded African dolls and have one on the go for a gift to my daughter that requested it. I love dressing them. It's a chance to be as creative as can be. Violet I've decided to live forever - so far, so good.

Hello, I too make dolls. I have been making them for family members for years . I thought about trying to sell them and so far so good. I don't get to spend too much time making them as i'd like due to having to make a living and paying the bills. LOL. My passion is making primitive raggedys. Bonnie preserve memories today for all of the tomorrows

I have a 16 inch fashion doll I make clothes for. Everytime I make something for me or someone else I make her something out of the scraps. Then I set up a little scenario and make up a brief story to go with it. I send out photos to certain friends (any one that hasn't told me to "just stop sending that nonsense to me"). I also have a great pattern for a fashion doll. I made one but when I went to dress her I didn't enlarge the Barbie pattern enough so I just never finished dressing her. But I would really like to make more of them dressed in outfits patterned after fashion plates from about 1915 to 1930 and perhaps some from the 30s, 40s and 50s. Dorothy |

Here is an outrageous site for those who enjoy making something other than the usual. www.epbdolls.com[/QUOTE] There's some great dolls on that site. I love the quilter dolls. I've made a few dolls, but it was years ago. Anyone remember when the soft sculptured dolls were so popular? |

I think the cabbage patch dolls helped the trend along too. Bama, I just posted that site at the top. MaryW
