We should celebrate this somehow. Joann's has 40% off most of their stuff.
I have my Athena Blouse to finish up, one more sleeve and it's done.

Seams as though I won't have any choice but to sew this month since my family seems to be sitting around thinking up sewing projects for me to do!

I'm going to be too busy to do much sewing this month. Traveling to Maine to visit family just after Labor Day, then the end of the month going to California to visit son and DIL. I did go to Hancock's today and bought flannel and notions. DH just shook his head and said it is an illness isn't it? :bluewink:

Since the nearest JoAnn's is 105 miles away, my mom and grandma are going to stock up on patterns for me! Simplicity, 5 for $5 (Sept 4-6), then McCall's & Butterick, 99 cents each (Sept 16-18). All renaissance & medieval styles...then I'll have a whole lot to choose from when I become more proficient at sewing!

Welcome aboard, Mischka! Have fun with those renaissance costumes. I've made about 15 now. We had a renaissance wedding, and I made 10 of the outfits including my own. Mine was the last to be done, of course! Be sure to post any questions you have about the costumes here, and we'd be glad to help out if we can!
