I have my moms old ( approx. 40+ yrs) sears kenmore sewing machine. I have the manual, but I need to find parts for it other than Sears. They have been a bit on the HIGH $$$$$ side for parts on any machine.
Are there any other places that sell parts for Sears machines?
I would really like to get this machine up and running without any problems as it has the old cam system on it. the only information I can get for it is Model 48, I found the head parts, but that is not what I need!!!!

HELP ANYBODY

P.S. I would have posted this on the "Machine Talk" forum, but that is the only one that I could not get to open for posting. :nc:, all the other ones are open to post on.

have you tried eBay?" They often have old machines that don't work & they sell them for parts.

That was one of the first places I tried with no luck. One of my machines was built around 1961-1964. I even tried Google.
I was just on the "machines forum" here and may have hit onto some leads there.

There are a lot of those machines out there, but they rarely come up anywhere. Just keep looking, sooner or later you shouldl find one. I wanted one a little newer for parts, and have only found one or two that were the same model. I have seen the one that I think you have on E-Bay a time or two. You need to look odd places too like in Thrift shops and in machine repair places. My machine would still be working except that it was damaged while being cleaned. I think that they are just very reliable machines that people don't get rid of very often. Mine was a fabulous machine.

I was lucky to find a place in Indiana that carries parts for my machines!!!!
I have already heard back from him. I found him on the "Machine Talk" page!!!!! :bg: :bg:
He has parts for my oldest machine, it was my moms and I don't want to part with it. It was the first machine I ever sewed on!!!!

Mary, Thanks for having this site, without it I most likely would still be hitting my head against the wall :bang: :bang: :bang: You are an Angel
