Hello, I'm very new to sewing, although I've sewn basic things like bags and curtains. For halloween I decided I wanted to make my halloween costume. The thing I do not know how to do is make the dress bigger at the chest part. I notice dresses have a hemed line up the dress to make the top (chest part) larger than the waist/hips. If someone could explain how to do this, it would be greatly apprieciated... :nc:

Hi emosavesthedayx, welcome to Sew Whats New.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by a hemmed line. Maybe you are talking about slashing the pattern top piece?
