Hello everyone!

I cant decide on what shade of blues to make up Cinderella. As I watch the movie over and over I keep telling myself to go with an very very pale ice blue for the skirt and a baby blue for the bodice and gloves, silver for sleeves and pelpum. but when I see the rtw costumes they all have a baby blue shade for the skirt. and white for the sleeves and pelpum. Would you go with the original colors or go with a variation for the costume???? Thanks !!

It's a matter of personal preference I think. The original colors are what I would try.

Most little girls would like the silver better than the white... Personally, I love Carolina blue better than any other.. (if you are not 'from around here' that is sky blue on a beautiful clear summer day without a cloud in the sky)...LOL

thanks for replying.. Leapfrog is there a way you can box up a piece of that Carolina Blue and ship it to chicago?? j/k anyhow I think I am going to go with the silver for the pelpum and jazz it up a bit with some sparkly tulle for an overskirt.. I hope to post pics when I finish!

How did your costume turn out? I would love to see pictures!

I'm making a Cinderella costume as well. I bought a lovely blue satin for the skirt and bodice and a blue sparkle organza for the sleeves and drape. It's turning out very pretty.

I am looking for a pattern to make a Cinderella costume in a size 5. Last year it was easy to find a really nice Belle pattern but am having trouble with a really nice Cinderella one. Any suggestions?
thanks
