Any advice on modifying necks of t-shirts (like Hanes, Jerzee, etc.) to v-necks would be most appreciated. I have searched the web until I am blue in the face ( :bluesad: :bang: ). I am a novice seamstress (and I use the term loosely!). Thank you. Aussie

I had no luck experimenting to do this, so I finally broke down and bought a pattern with both style necklines and learned that way.. The pattern I bought was not a t-shirt pattern, I didn't need another one of those, so I looked til I found a sweat shirt pattern or sweater shirt, with several style changes inside.. This way , I didn't waste any money..I have a serger and use it to make lots of casual shirts for family and friends as gifts.. You know that "Fruit of the Loom" makes V-neck t-shirts don't you ?? The 3-pk undershirt type... I buy them and paint flowers on them for nightshirts.. :bg: :bg:

 Brilliant! Why didn't I think of that? I may even venture into making a sweatshirt. Thank you for the time you took to answer my note. Aussie
