I'm cheap and always wait for these sales to buy my patterns. I noticed someone mentioned a 99 cent sale at Hancocks in another thread, so I thought I'd post this for anyone who doesn't get the flyers... At JoAnn's, Butterick and McCalls patterns are on sale for 99 cents September 16-18. And Simplicity patterns are on sale for 99 cents on September 25. Yes, I plan my shopping around this! Between the pattern sales and the clearance fabric, I actually do save tons of money sewing rather than buying! |

I"LL BE THERE!!!!!, I've got to get my outfit made for the wedding next year!!! I know it was on one of the other threads, someone was looking for College Themed material. Got a flyer today, on e-mail, that Hancock Fabrics is sellling some. Check them out in your area for the closest store and see if they carry what you are looing for. |

My mom and grandma have a list of about 20 patterns I'd like...mostly medieval and renaissance garb...and are heading to JoAnn's for me tomorrow, since they're only 10 minutes away from one, and I'm 2 hours or so. Thankfully they are both willing to shop on my behalf YAY!!! |

I buy all of my patterns on sale at Jo-Ann's 99 cent sales, also. There are a few Kwik Sew patterns I am very interested in, but their price always keeps me from purchasing them. Does Hancocks ever discount them? I have never even seen them at Jo-Ann's so I assume they do not carry them. |

I've shopped at Hancock's for a long time , and I have never seen them put Kwik-sew patterns on sale.. Nor any other store for that matter.. I attended a seminar by Shirley Adams years ago, and she gave each of us a Kwik-Sew T-shirt pattern at that seminar.. I am still using it, and I have made more than a hundred shirts I know, from that pattern.. I just trace each size as i need it.. The one I use for me is customized for my short stature. (short , broad stature, that is) I'll never have to buy another pattern like that, so it is well worth the cost. (even tho mine was free, I checked on what the price would have been).. That was my first Kwik-Sew pattern, but not my last..

I would absolutely kill for a .99 pattern. You would never find one this end of the country.

I have learned to keep a list of pattern numbers that I want. There's no getting to the pattern books when Hancock's has patterns on sale. I just hate it that they usually have a 5 pattern limit. Sometimes I take my daughter with me so she can go through the line and get the ones she wants. I wonder...... do Hancock's and Joann's sell patterns on their websites? I've never thought to check.... |

While everyone is grabbing the .99 patterns, get one for a lined vest. The lessons will soon be starting for this.
