It was like this in 95...we moved to FL 3 days after hurricane Erin (Aug. 95) and sat through Opal (Oct. 95) and I don't even remember the others names...but since it went from E-O there were plenty....

I think I need to move back to Florida. I lived there for 2 1/2 yrs. and never did experience a hurricane. Then not 2 months after I moved to Germany one hit right where we lived. I think I was some kind of good luck charm :bluewink: .

I know that they are saying that the last time we had hurricanes hit like this was some 30-35 years ago, that's when the north had all the BAD snow storms that shut us down for days at a time. I wonder if this just the beginning of what is yet to come. I have notice that the leaves have started turning at the end of August already!!!!! We must have really "ticked off " mother nature.

I agree - by the looks of things so far, it's going to be a looong winter! We had that snow a couple weeks ago, and many of the leaves have already turned. It was 29 degrees this morning, 24 with windchill (LOL, measuring windchill in September)...and lots of frosty windshields.

It never really did warm up this summer like it has the last few years - good b/c that was so hot for CO and made it really difficult to fight wildfires. Thank goodness all the local ones this year have been small and quickly contained!

We've had the best weather of the summer since Labor Day. Funny weather, Huh? Except you poor southerners aren't laughing. I feel so bad for ya'all.
