I'm doing another skirt...woven plaid again (polyester blend?)...and the bottom hem is roughly 3.5 yards. The fabric sort of slides on itself, even if I pin it a lot, and I imagine by the end of the seam I'll be way off! I'm thinking about securing it first with fusible bonding web (aka Stitch Witchery), but can I sew through that stuff? I do want to sew a bottom seam, I just don't want it to get crooked at all because it'll be noticeable on the plaid.
Hope that made sense...thanks for your advice!

Yes, sew through the stitch-witchery. It is intended as a temporary application, and I'm not sure it would stand repeated washings or cleanings.
For easier handling, baste it to the bottom edge before you turn up and press.

Stitch witchery will hold forever if you press as it says to.. I have used it for years.. Also wonder under , which is the same thing only paper backed for different use.. Follow directions and press on both sides , and it will last forever..
