I'm new to this site and hope that someone can help me with a problem I'm having....
I am trying to make a baby-doll style top for my daughter, using shirring across the chest area. First I tried winding the elastic thread around the bobbin without stretching it, which resulted in lots of funny loops on the reverse side. I then tried winding it on fairly tightly, which worked for a row or so, but now every few inches the top thread becomes tangled with the bobbin, making the machine stop and tearing the fabric. I've used up around 20m of elastic thread and am going crazy trying to make this work!
If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Kate
