Thank you everyone. Yes grandkids are wonderful. This is my sixth one and you would have thought it was my first at the hospital on Tuesday. All her little bodily functions are working well. She gulped down two ounces of formula and then spit it up threw her nose and mouth. Then she filled her diaper up and it over flowed onto her blanket and into her crib. All her plumbing is working very well. ROFL Mary, you are not going to believe it but I wore my sewing machine out. The darn thing started making a really bad noise so I took it into the shop after the baby shower and the bushings are worn out. $250.00 worth. It's only 2 years old this Dec so you see I have been sewing up a storm. I never sew for money either, it's all for the grandkids and kids and of course myself. I made her a memory quilt with all the deceased grandparents on it, two dresses, 3 more blankets, bibs, I crocheted a baby blanket, embroideried some burp pads, made her a fleece jacket with her name on it, of course, and I can't remember all the rest but it was about 16 packages for the shower she got from me. All hand made. The quilt made everyone cry, I must say it was really special. If I figure out how to attach a pic I'll send you all her pic. I tried inserting a pic of my little angel and I can't figure out how to do it. I'll try again later. |

Susie congratulations. Also ..What a lovely idea your grandparents quilt was. That is something the new little one can cherish all of her life and show her children when the time comes. |

Klynne, I thought so too when I made the quilt. When I come up for air in the next few days I will try and post a pic of it on this site. I am on my way to get the little stinker from the hospital. This is going to be a fun day for all of us. My first grandmotherly duties yesterday was to sterlize the bottles for her Mother before she came home. I'll set it up somewhere so I can display all my brag pics soon. |

congratulations on your new granddaughter - paige is such a beautiful name. and of course you should spoil her - that's what grandparents are for. parents can't do that, in good conscience, but grands can!

Thanks for all the well wishes. She is going to be spoiled for sure. All her older cousins have already been there doting over her so I can only imagine how rotten she is going to be not only with the grandparents but with all the cousins as well. She came home this morning and is all settled in her new nursery with all the pink fru fru and lace. She's a winnie the pooh gal and she has everything WalMart has to offer and some. Rotten ya hear. LOL |

I just noticed these posts. Where have I been?????? Thanks everyone for the best wishes. Baby Paige is doing fine. She's giving her Mother a time, her formula is not agreeing with her so they have changed it 4 times so far and now she's on one of the Enfamils that is suppose to be like Mothers milk and it's still giving her a little colic but not as bad as the other ones were. I have been trying to be good about not packing my bags and moving in over there or taking her home with me. LOL NOT!!!! My baby days of staying up all night for days on end are over. I did it with all of mine and the first couple of Grands but that's when I was only in my 40's. Not anymore. But she is tempting to kiss all over and love on. Thanks again for the good wishes. She's my 4th Granddaughter. I also have two grandsons. |
