My old Bernina 1011 that would sew anything died a while back and I have searched and searched for a good replacement. Ebay purchases have been disasters and I was hoping I could have better luck here! Anyone have one to sell?
I use a portable mechanical machine in my business and am currently without one--sold my little Janome (WAAAAHHHH!--needed cash!). :bluesad: Need one before the rush holiday season gets cranked--I sew window fashinons!

Good Morning

I have a Bernina # 1010 if you are interested. It comes with the 1/4 patchwork foot, walking foot and free motion foot and a 18x22" extension table. I am asking $325.00 ( I live in Michigan)

Thanks

Hi,

I finally found a 1011 on ebay and it has been like a dream come true! I think it is even better than my old one, and looked like it had rarely been used! The 1010 is not the same, but thanks for the reply! Apparently from what I've heard from Bernina dealers, the 1011 was not in production very long. It was top of the line mechanical right as the computer machine boom was beginning. I suppose it must have gotten obsolete pretty quickly. Such a shame, it's an awesome machine. No bells and whistles, just sews like a dream.

Bernina is making one mechanical machine (still) which can be purchased new. It is model 1008 (I believe). This seems to be a very reliable machine. If you decide you want a new one you might look into this. I'm sorry, I don't know the price on this. They are pretty closed lipped about their prices if you don't talk to a dealer in person (dealers' prices also vary some.) Hope you find just what you need!
