I made one from McCall's 2608 in about an hour. It's so comfortable I'd like to make more, but with a little more fitted pattern. Anyone have a favorite that's not too teenager looking? I'm making my list for the next pattern sale. |

I just made one for my Scottish garb with Butterick #6196 (view B). Used a very neutral color khaki tencel - a bit heavy, but it was 70% off - and it turned out very well. Looks a lot less "teenage" than my store-bought peasant blouses, most of which are sheer or velvet and/or designed to display cleavage. |

Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure if I could adjust the pattern for what I want, but I might give that a try. I'd like to find a pattern for my almost 13 year old too. She loves that type of top. With most of the RTW ones we've bought she has to wear a camisole because the necklines are too low. Most of the stores around here go from little girl looking clothes to older teenager styles. There's just not much for the in between ages. |

Bama , My patterns are upstairs, but I have 2 in 6-10 girls. They both have elastic in the neckline, so Steph can wear the neckline high, low or in between. and off the shoulder also.. Look for one with elastic in the neckline as well as the sleeve band. Sew With Love
