Here are some tips I got from list. Hope they are useful to everyone. 1) Buy some Easy Knit Interfacing. Cut a square that is just larger than your design put the stretch of the Easy Knit Interfacing opposite the stretch of the knit item. Using a warm iron, press in place. This stops the stretch and stabilizes without puckers. 2) Use a layer of SoSheer CUT AWAY stabilizer as the bottom layer. This adds the extra protection if you should need to remove any stitches. Hoop the 3 layers, by working a snugged hoop from the corner away from the adjustment screw towards the adjustment screw. The hoop should slip into place without effort and give a snug drum like hooped fabric. 3) lay a piece of water soluable (clear stabilizer) just inside the top of hoop. This keeps the stitches from sinking into the pique knit. Stitch design Remove from hoop. Carefully cut away extra stabilizer. Hint: If you have too much Easy Knit you can reheat and gently pull away from the knit fabric and trim like Cut Away. Remove excess water soluable and spritz design. MaryW

Mary, thank you so much for this information on knits. I have done knit tops for other people and have had to go buy another shirt to replace the one I just poked a hole in trying to embroidery on it with my machine. Was about to give up doing this for others when I read about using the Easy Knit interfacing. It sounds great. I will certainly be looking for it at Wal-Mart tomorrow when I go to work. You are kind to post this for others and it is wonderful to have nice people like you in this world! Thanks again! OKlahomanana
