I’m making a pet carrier.
The pattern calls for heavy mesh fabric.
I’m not sure what I need. Has any one made a pet carrier and what did you use for the little window?

Isn't there a mesh that is used in sports clothing?

Why couldn't you use the woven mesh used for window screens? I think that it is used in purses and bags sometimes?

Maggie, I have that same pattern, but haven't had time to try it yet. I'd love to hear how it goes together for you!

If you're anywhere near an outfitting or outdoor equipment type shop it's possible they may have an appropriate mesh. If not, check this out:

Rockywood Fabric

They have some stuff that looks a lot like what's on the pattern envelope.

Just an aside; I wouldn't count on anything made of fabric to be really escape proof! But they sure are cute. I'll be doing mine from some zebra-stripe fabric for a friend's little Pomeranian.
