Hi all, I've been away for awhile but I'm back and ready to sew! I'm planning on making the New Look #6416 pajama pattern. It calls for cotton, flannel or silk BUT I want to use fleece. Is there any reason I shouldn't? Are there some special preparations or steps I should take in using the fleece. I should say that this is also my first (other than a hat) big project sewing fleece, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for any help you can give me. Sandy |

Fleece tends to stretch...if what you're making can stretch and it won't make a difference to you, then use it....(and I'd also watch out for the fleece fuzzies....)

That is going to be one hot pair of PJ's - are you planning on camping or wearing them at home?

Oh, they aren't for me! I'd DIE wearing those things. I'm hot all the time! They're for my daughter-in-law. She's always cold. Plus, she's had her eye on the rainbow fleece for almost 2 years. Everytime I went back to buy it, it was sold out. So I finally found it a month ago, and will finish the pj's today. Actually, they look very cute and comfy. Hope she likes them! |

Well, the pajamas are finished and given away. She absolutely loved them! She tried them on as soon as she got them Saturday evening, and wore them Sunday night too. On Monday she even wore them for the long drive home. What a great feeling when someone loves what you've created for them! |
