But I've started in on his B'day present. It's a long overdue project, can you guess where I'm going with this? Next day off, or at least a couple of hours on the lathe and I'll have something much more pretty to show. http://users.hfx.eastlink.ca/~dwilkins/blank.jpg I've been eager to tackle a project with this look, bigger than a pen. All the wood is hand planed smooth and glued together. The woods are purpleheart, cherry, walnut, maple and jatoba. No, it isn't a rolling pin 
I'm lucky I survived moms cooking :p

Hey, did you guys notice? Dave did that glue-up on the bias ! BTW, is that the latest bowl on the left, or a previous one? Oh yeah, and how do I get on your Christmas list?
