Hi everyone, like the heading says!Id love to try applique, can someone give me the basics of how its done. Am I right in thinking you stitch around the outside of the fabric with a zigzag stitch or am I completely wrong?! Hope youre all well Love Helz

Helz, you are way off base.  First of all, what are you going to applique? Clothing, quilts,??? There are lots of different methods for this. MaryW

Joannequilts is the expert on that. My methods are hit and miss for lazy people.

What's wrong with the zigzag-it-on method? I've had some decent results doing that!

Oh, there is nothing wrong with zigzag on applique. It all depends on what type of applique one is doing.
