Good morning everyone!

I have to let the hem down on a few pair of pants. Does anyone know of a way to get rid of the discoloured line that is left behind? :nc: My son is growing like a weed and I really dislike the look of pants (jeans especially) with that line there.

Any and all help greatly appreciated!!

Have a great day! :)

You might try vinegar and water.

Apparently white vinegar may work. Have a read through here and see if there is anything that helps you.

I Always Used To Take A Crayola Wax Crayon That Was Closest In Color To The Jeans And Cover The White Line, Then Iron The Crayon In. This Can Be Renewed If Needed After A Few Washings, But Actually I Found That The Wax Stayed In The Fabric Almost Permanently.

I Hope This Helps!

Actually, there are crayons that are made to iron into fabric. You should be able to find them at a fabric store.

I have used a clean hankerchief that I wet with vinegar and water. You may have to do this several times. Good luck!

If the crease is what is your problem, the white vinegar and pressing is the right treatment.. If the problem is a faded line the crayons are the correct treatment..

I used a Sharpie pen on pair blue jeans earlier in week. I lucked out and it was just the right color. I just kind of brushed at it with the pen, didn't draw hard on the line and warned the gal to wash them alone the first time "just in case".

How about sewing something over the line? Easier for girl pants, I know, but what about reflective tape?

 I use a sprayer with white vinegar to remove the line and if the pants are frayed or discolored either a crayon or a permanant marker should do the trick.
