I have the Magic Box Embroidery Converter and have just started to play around with it. I have downloaded many free designs off the web and now have them in zip file. (I have also burned them to save for future use.)
I would really like to be able to print pictures of the designs to have a picture catalog. Has anyone done this with the Magic Box? I also have the Editor that came with my program.
The other thing is, when I look at a pre-print stage of a design in the Editor, the design is labeled as "Filename - Unknown". What do I have to do to correct this so the design name will print along with the picture?
Help!!!!!!

Sew-happy - You'll definitely have alot of fun with your box. After I got mine I downloaded probably about 1000 designs. Now, I'm quite a bit more selective and generally refuse any design that looks "cartoonish". If I could suggest one more "must-have" to make your embroidery experience complete, it would be Embird. This is an AWESOME program and extremely affordable, about $65 (when I got it) as a download off the internet. It allows you to resize, and redesign (cut and paste) parts of one design to another design.
I believe you can also print thumbnail pics of your designs from this software also. The Editor that comes with magic box only lets you print the 4x4 design thats burned onto your card (as far as I know). As for the "file-unknown", I don't think I've seen that. Usually after I download a design I rename it so that I know by the description of the file name what the design basically will be. Usually on downloaded designs the names can be somewhat confusing. Always just remember to end the file with the correct extension ie .pes, .hus etc.

Thanks kfor the info. I was playing with it more over the weekend. Was able to save a design into "My Documents" and print from there, but I was not able to get the name or other information to print on the page. If I don't save it and print right from the Color Editor then it prints out the size, colors, thread counts and Unknown Filename. Guess I will just have to decide which I want more on the print out. :nc:
